October 25, 2005 Dr. Lee Klinger PO Box 664 Big Sur, CA 93920 Dear Lee, It has been almost a year since you treated our oaks. I thought you might be interested in what has transpired in that year. As you will recall I was skeptical of your assessment and treatment methods, but since we were losing our oaks by the score to P. ramorum we had to do something. In short, the improvement with treatment has been remarkable! Every tree has responded with new growth. Instead of the painful sight of our trees slowly dying, we now see new life in the form of phenomenal leaf growth. One tree is particularly noteworthy. This mature tanoak has been "dead" for years. There was not one leaf on this tree. Even though it was dead, we treated this tree just to explore the limits of your treatment program. To our surprise there is astonishing new growth. We are now asking ourselves, are there any limits? We can't thank you enough. Sincerely, Ken Palmer Valley Ford, CA

Oak treatment works
Editor -- We live on Lake Geneva next to Montreux, where the Montreux Jazz Festival is held every July. Our property is called La Crottaz and is one of the few 19th century gardens left in Switzerland. It is an important garden with more than 70 varieties of trees. We have treated our old pines (200 to 300 years old) along with the 70-plus variety of trees in our garden with the treatment suggested by Dr. Lee Klinger ("Scientist takes holistic approach to sudden oak death," Oct. 8), which has shown good results. We have seen tremendous recovery to some of our old pine, tulip and chestnut trees. Even the flower beds that received his medicine have flourished. Flora and fauna are very important to the Swiss people, and keeping our country free from pesticides has always been our aim.

Hello,
My husband and I are very interested in the work that Dr. Lee Klinger (and others) have been doing to save the Oak trees on our 3 acres in Mill Valley. I have been using the suggestions on my forest for about the last 7 years. Frankly, their guidance has helped me save many of our beautiful oaks. Our trees are definitely looking healthy now. Even some of the trees that had been hugely challenged by the effects of the beetles and weeping are still hanging on and I am hopeful that they will, in time, repair themselves. [...]

From: Annette Nibley Date: Tue, 21 Mar 2006 To: Dr Lee Klinger Subject: Buckeyes and Oaks Recover
Dear Lee, I just wanted to give you a progress report on the oaks and buckeyes we treated with Azomite Soil Sweetener last summer -- what a difference! The two phytophthora-infected oaks, after years of struggling along with sparse to no growth, are putting out a huge amount of vigorous growth this year! They look beautiful and so healthy. I was told by my regular tree service that those trees could be kept alive, but they would never be vibrant again. You proved them wrong! My buckeyes always used to leaf out much later than other buckeyes in my area, and it worried me. This year, they are neck-in-neck. That much difference, in one season! Also, in an area where we applied the Azomite Soil Sweetener, the product seems to have aborted a serious die-back of photinia that I was having. The remaining photinia are putting out healthy new growth. We've just applied Azomite to the entire garden, and I can't wait to see the results. Lee, I feel so fortunate to have come across you and your work. My garden has come back to life because of you, after too many years of soil depletion and toxic treatments, for which I knew no alternative. Finally, there is an alternative, and my trees and I are very happy for that. You are so knowledgeable, but also you are such a delightful person, and it's really a joy to work with you. You've brought more life into my life. Much love, Annette

Dr. Klinger,
My damaged trees are in an urban environment in Southern Oregon. In the year following the application of the Azomite Soil Sweetener you recommended for the Black Oaks, they have responded with new foliage and increased vigor. Acorn production this fall is like nothing I have seen before! I also spread the mixture under a neighbor's 100' tall aging Sycamore. She was considering removing the tree, but it too has shown tremendous vitality in new branch and leaf production, so now the tree remains, alive and healthy again. Thanks for saving a few precious members of our urban canopy!

ALOHA Dr. Lee Klinger,
It's been a year since you consulted with me about my orchard in south Kona. If you remember, I was having problems with mites and chlorosis especially with my citrus trees.
I took your advice and applied Azomite about 10 months ago. Surprisingly I never had to spray for mites and the new growth is dark green and full. The application of minerals was beneficial and I'm glad you brought up the fact that it was a fertilizing blind spot of mine.
Big MAHALOS again and my trees thank you also.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Uttley Papa, Hawaii
